On June 25, Dongguan PV's new product, the crystalline silicon BIPV module, successfully passed the carbon footprint certification by the CQC China Quality Certification Center and was granted the "Product Carbon Footprint Certificate." This certification highlights the low-carbon advantages of Dongguan PV’s products and showcases its strength in green supply chain management.
The product carbon footprint refers to the total greenhouse gas emissions generated directly and indirectly during the stages of raw material acquisition, manufacturing, transportation, sales, usage, and disposal. Determining the carbon footprint is a crucial step in reducing carbon emissions from products (or services) as it helps companies identify the main greenhouse gas emission stages throughout the product lifecycle. This enables them to develop more effective and targeted carbon reduction plans, driving greenhouse gas reduction efforts across the entire supply chain.
This certification is based on the ISO 14067 standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the PAS 2050 standard issued by the British Standards Institution (BSI). These standards outline the specific calculation methods for determining the "carbon footprint" and play a significant role in the field of product carbon footprint evaluation. Obtaining the "carbon footprint certification" serves as a strong testament for companies to demonstrate their commitment to low-carbon practices, proving to customers, suppliers, and investors that they are making efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and meet internationally recognized standards. This not only enhances the company's environmental image but also strengthens its market competitiveness.
